I let it go. Waves throw back
                white bodies and ivy twines
         in hollow trunks on slopes
         green above black ocean.
A rose climbs out of rock. A shape
spreads in the shade of an oak

above heaped rock and crumbles.
A wall gives. A leaf wanders through
the shade of an oak. Stones
are thrown one by one to
the heart of what they bordered on.
