Join Us for the Spring Revel on April 2, 2024, at Cipriani 42nd Street

Honoring Tobias Wolff

Please join us for our annual Spring Revel on April 2, 2024.

Since 1953, The Paris Review has been a magazine unlike any other: a home for writers and artists who are unafraid to take risks and for work that invites the reader into proximity with another singular consciousness. In our pages, readers can encounter remarkable new voices alongside established names, glimpse behind the scenes of the writing process in in-depth interviews with literary titans, and experience extraordinary visual art.

At the Spring Revel, we’ll gather to celebrate the Review—which, in the past year, has received both the ASME Award for Fiction and a Whiting Literary Magazine Prize—honor writers we admire, and raise crucial funds for the future. Revel proceeds will enable us to continue to publish daring writing and art in print and online; produce our groundbreaking podcast; host inspiring live events; and dream up new projects to support writers and delight readers.

We will present the 2024 Hadada, our award for lifetime achievement in literature, to the inimitable Tobias Wolff, whose stories, memoirs, and novels are as beloved as they are influential. In addition, the George Plimpton Prize for Fiction—named for our founding editor who tirelessly championed early-career writers—will be presented to Moira McCavana. The Susannah Hunnewell Prize—named for our esteemed former publisher—will be awarded to Caleb Crain. (A full list of previous prize winners can be found on our Prizes page.)

The event, to be held at at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York, will begin with a cocktail hour at 7:00 P.M., followed by dinner and program at 8:00 P.M. Tickets will be held at the door—reserve by donating at one of the following levels:

Friend Ticket $1,000

Plimpton Circle Ticket $2,500

Patron Table $10,000

Benefactor Table $25,000

Underwriter Table $50,000

Vice-Chair Table $100,000

A table at any level seats a total of ten guests. To donate, use the widget below or contact Jane Breakell, development director, at [email protected].

Please RSVP by March 19, 2024 to be listed as a benefit committee member in the Revel program. The final RSVP deadline is March 25, 2024.

The Paris Review Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Tickets are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. $290 per ticket, in exchange for goods and services, is nondeductible. Those making gifts of $2,500 or more will also be recognized by name in the print magazine, and will receive invitations to special events and salons.

We are deeply grateful for the community support that has sustained the Review over the last seven decades, and we hope to see you in April. If you are unable to attend but would still like to support The Paris Review with a donation, please visit our Donate page, or contact Jane Breakell at the email address above.
