As I pass the gates of Buckingham Palace
I'm exposed in a hundred Japanese cameras,
like a fossil, flash-frozen in Kodachrome.
I'm big in Japan, they've seen my face
blossom in a thousand Tokyo photo labs.
In Wakayama somebody opens an album
co reminisce, and there I am, under the lamppost,
part of the family portrait. A girl in Kagoshima
opens her purse by the sea and looks
at a photograph. It's a picture of me.
