Beyond the pond where dragonflies
Lie bedded down among the reeds
And bullfrogs clock the racing days
Of summer, deer outgrow the woods.
They nibble in the stubble wheat
And lick the salt block I provide.
Calm as their shadows they permit
Beyond the pond where dragonflies
Lie bedded down among the reeds
And bullfrogs clock the racing days
Of summer, deer outgrow the woods.
They nibble in the stubble wheat
And lick the salt block I provide.
Calm as their shadows they permit
