You’re invited to The Paris Review for a celebration of fashion in literature. A thoughtful take on the classic childhood pastime, Literary Paper Dolls carefully imagines the wardrobes of beloved characters, each with an essay on the lessons these characters have for us in contemporary life. A collaboration between celebrated illustrator Jenny Kroik and writer and Paris Review staff member Julia Berick, the column is a playful look at classic works. Kroik will lead guests in a live drawing session and discuss the process of collaboration with Berick. Paris Review online editor Nadja Spiegelman will introduce the event. Have drawing materials at the ready if you’d like to join Kroik’s drawing session!
