The Spring Revel

undefined

Every April, writers, artists, and readers gather for the annual Spring Revel in New York. Hosted by The Paris Review’s board of directors, the Revel is an occasion to celebrate The Paris Review—a 501(c)(3) nonprofit since 2000—and to raise funds for its ongoing mission: to support artists and writers and to promote public appreciation of excellence in the literary and visual arts. Each Revel honors a distinguished writer with the Hadada, our award for lifetime achievement. In addition, we award two prizes for work published in the magazine in the preceding year: the George Plimpton Prize honors an emerging writer of exceptional promise, and the Susannah Hunnewell Prize is awarded for an outstanding piece of prose or poetry. A full list of previous prizewinners can be found on our Prizes page. Other writers and artists join as honorary hosts.

Tickets for the next Revel, to be held on April 6, 2027, will go on sale this fall—when we’ll also announce the 2027 Hadada honoree—and will be available to purchase on this page. We hope you’ll join us.

Until then, donations for general operating support can be made through our Donate page. For any additional information about how to support the Review, please contact Jane Breakell, development director, at [email protected].
