Explore the process behind issue no. 233’s Art of Translation interview with Margaret Jull Costa in a live Instagram conversation with her interviewer, Katrina Dodson, in honor of Women in Translation Month! Dodson’s translations from the Portuguese include The Complete Stories of Clarice Lispector, which won the 2016 PEN Translation Prize, and Mário de Andrade’s 1928 Modernist novel Macunaíma, the Hero With No Character, forthcoming from New Directions. She is currently adapting her Lispector translation journal into a book and teaches in the graduate writing program at Columbia University. She will be joined by engagement editor Rhian Sasseen.

This is a free public event taking place on The Paris Review’s Instagram Live feed.
