There is a simple response we can all make to those who attack the memory of Miklos Radnoti and burn his books. Read more of his work. There’s a good selection of his work in translation, Clouded Skies, from the University Press of New England; Arc Publications published his Camp Notebook in 2000; and Enitharmon Press issued his final poems as Forced March in 2004. Miklos Radnoti was a profoundly courageous and clear-eyed poet, and any of these are well worth reading.
