His work has appeared in <\/em>The New Yorker<em>, <\/em>Vanity Fair<em>, <\/em>Elle<em>, <\/em>Vogue<em>, <\/em>Le Monde<em>, the<\/em>\u00a0Observer<em>, and the<\/em> Independent on Sunday<em>. He is a Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters, and his art is often exhibited in New York, Amsterdam, Paris, and London, where \u201cColonel\u201d Baxter
