(Be sure to watch long enough to hear him intone, \u201cThere goes that drumstick for a hungry boy!\u201d)<\/p>\n<p>But it raises other questions.\u00a0Mainly: What is \u201cturkey time,\u201d and why is it separate from \u201ccarving time\u201d? Best of all is the rather menacing, passive-aggressive coda: \u201cYou can carve without these directions,\u00a0<em>but you can probably carve better with them.<\/em>\u201d As a random drunk in a bar once slurred at me when I said I didn\u2019t want to go to the pier with him, \u201cFine, whatever, just thought you might want to see the Statue of Liberty!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t do me any favors, turkey-carvers of America. If you want to eat hacked-off hunks of meat, it\u2019s your funeral!
