How did we dupe and retouch before that? Double exposure, montage, stage-setting; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newstatesman.com\/culture\/2015\/04\/short-history-image-manipulation-photoshop\" target=\"_blank\">we\u2019ve been manipulating photographs since nearly the moment they were invented<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Picasso, in his posthumous life, is more than a mere painter\u2014<a href=\"http:\/\/hyperallergic.com\/197813\/the-picassos-of\/?wt=2\" target=\"_blank\">he\u2019s a barometer of unassailable excellence<\/a> in any and every field.
