But disrobing actresses arguably didn\u2019t become a fixture of the festival until the following year, when Simone Silva got banned for posing topless next to Robert Mitchum\u2014a spectacle that caused a pile-up of frantic, injured photographers.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>How the Danish writer Dorthe Nors found her way to the short story: \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.englishpen.org\/pen-atlas\/a-form-close-to-home\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Swedes have that big, fearless, existential approach to literature<\/a>. The Danes have an elastic, playful, anarchistic and ironic way of using language. And here was this dude telling me\u2014the closet Swede\u2014that I should make use of the strengths of my own language \u2026\u2009\u201d<\/li>\n<li>What does Taylor Swift have in common with Austen, Auden, Thackeray, and Shakespeare? And don\u2019t say, She\u2019s a storyteller of legendary talents\u2014the answer is more mundane.
