It is setting aside an hour for that new book \u2026 and spending it instead on Facebook.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Among Stephen King\u2019s \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/books\/booksblog\/2014\/sep\/15\/stephen-king-most-hated-words\" target=\"_blank\">most hated expressions<\/a>\u201d: <em>many people<\/em>, <em>some people say<\/em>, and <em>YOLO<\/em>. (I agree with the first two, but I\u2019ll go to the mat for <em>YOLO<\/em> any day of the week.)<\/li>\n<li>What\u2019s it like to translate a compendium of Alain Robbe-Grillet\u2019s sadistic fantasies? Haunting, but, you know, in a good way: \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.newyorker.com\/books\/page-turner\/translating-novel-sadism\" target=\"_blank\">As translator, I am a filter for material<\/a>: it travels through me. As such, there\u2019s a residue, but it is difficult to qualify.
