The form announces a polemic\u2014probably a cranky one, and very likely an unfair one. But an essay with such a title has inoculated itself against the criticism of being too polemical or tendentious\u2014after all, <em>did you read the title<\/em>? Caveat lector!\u201d<\/li>\n<li>In Pittsburgh, <a href=\"http:\/\/america.aljazeera.com\/articles\/2014\/8\/10\/in-pittsburgh-a-refugeforendangeredwriters.html\" target=\"_blank\">a nonprofit called City of Asylum<\/a> provides free housing and a stipend \u201cfor foreign-born scribes who endured imprisonment, or worse, in their home
