His books are crawling with wordplay: puns, mixed metaphors, neologisms, you name it.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Speaking of translational difficulties, here\u2019s how to give yourself an anxiety dream: just before bed, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ft.com\/intl\/cms\/s\/2\/9cb5c9e0-1e40-11e4-ab52-00144feabdc0.html#axzz39pXlF3L6\" target=\"_blank\">imagine being the first translator to attempt <em>War and Peace<\/em> or <em>Anna Karenina<\/em><\/a>. \u201cNot only was the sheer prolixity of Tolstoy\u2019s great novels a deterrent to all but the most determined of translators, but after the urbane Turgenev, whose measured prose slipped so easily into English, Tolstoy was also far more unpolished, more uncompromising and, well, altogether more Russian.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>How to give yourself an anxiety dream, part two: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wired.com\/2014\/08\/i-liked-everything-i-saw-on-facebook-for-two-days-heres-what-it-did-to-me\/?mbid=social_fb\" target=\"_blank\">like everything on Facebook<\/a> and watch as your hyper-personalized world crumbles around you. \u201cLiterally everything Facebook sent my way, I liked\u2014even if I hated it.
