(Note: <em>The Paris Review<\/em> does not endorse the unsupervised construction or detonation of homemade pyrotechnical devices from any era, past or present\u2014unless you\u2019re reasonably sure you know what you\u2019re doing, in which case, have at it.)<\/li>\n<li>Forget <em>King Lear <\/em>with people\u2014that\u2019s old-fashioned. What you want is <em><a href=\"http:\/\/modernfarmer.com\/2014\/07\/king-lear-sheep\/\" target=\"_blank\">King Lear with Sheep<\/a><\/em>. \u201cThe actors are actually incapable of acting or even recognizing that something is expected of them.\u201d (Because they\u2019re sheep.)<\/li>\n<li>\u201cHere\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theatlantic.com\/entertainment\/archive\/2014\/07\/if-pride-and-prejudice-took-place-today-jane-would-have-to-be-40\/373874\/\" target=\"_blank\">the problem for someone trying to give <em>Pride and Prejudice<\/em> a contemporary twist<\/a> \u2026 Jane and Lizzy Bennet are twenty-two and twenty years old, respectively. This means that, in the novel\u2019s world, the two are pretty much teetering on the edge of spinsterhood.
