(Though they\u2019re a touch clich\u00e9, right down to the \u201cavoid clich\u00e9s\u201d apothegm.)<\/li>\n<li>It\u2019s the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slate.com\/blogs\/future_tense\/2014\/01\/17\/betamax_supreme_court_opinion_anniversary_the_decision_has_had_long_reaching.html\" target=\"_blank\">thirtieth anniversary of the Supreme Court\u2019s <i>Betamax <\/i>decision<\/a>. The medium is obsolete; the verdict is not.
