And as someone who owns an <em>S<\/em> from an old marquee, I will judge you not at all. <\/li>\n<li>An exhibition of beat-era Allen Ginsberg photographs is on display at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2013\/01\/24\/allen-ginsberg-photography-beat-memories-beat-generation_n_2542941.html?utm_hp_ref=books&amp;ir=Books#slide=2021971\" target=\"_blank\">Grey Art Gallery<\/a>. The captions, which read like speedy mini-poems, are the best part.<\/li>\n<li><em>The Following<\/em>, a new Fox drama that features&mdash;along with Kevin Bacon and many other things&mdash;a Poe-obsessed serial killer, is probably no threat to the author\u2019s legacy. However, it\u2019s fun to read <a href=\"http:\/\/www.salon.com\/2013\/01\/24\/desecrating_poe\/\" target=\"_blank\">the tally of the show\u2019s crimes<\/a> against literature. <\/li>\n<li>\u201cI haven&#8217;t read my rivals because I think it could be a deeply demoralising process,\u201d <a href=\"http:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/culture\/books\/9824237\/I-dont-read-rival-authors-because-its-a-deeply-demoralising-process-says-Hilary-Mantel.html\" target=\"_blank\">quoth Hilary Mantel<\/a>. <\/li>\n<li>Oh, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/arts-entertainment\/books\/news\/comic-book-hero-judge-dredd-might-be-gay-8466959.html\" target=\"_blank\">Judge Dredd<\/a> might be gay. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Should you fancy some of the two-foot letters from the recently disassembled Borders flagship sign, you can bid for them on eBay, with all profits going to the Book Industry Charitable Foundation.
