Believe that.\u201d That\u2019s Ice Cube rhapsodizing on Ray and Charles Eames\u2019s Case Study House #8 in the Pacific Palisades. The short video, in which Ice Cube praises L.A.\u2019s architectural sublimity, is part of \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pacificstandardtime.org\/\">Pacific Standard Time<\/a>,\u201d an exhibition I wish (impossibly) were traveling to the East Coast. \u2014<strong>Nicole Rudick<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Life is full of doomed quests\u2014and then it tosses up the weird happy ending, with naked children wandering around on the dinner table. See for instance <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gq.com\/news-politics\/newsmakers\/201112\/ai-weiwei-danger-artist-gq-december-2011-wyatt-mason\">Wyatt Mason\u2019s amazing profile of Ai Weiwei<\/a>, now an e-book from <em>GQ<\/em>.\u00a0 \u2014<strong>Lorin Stein<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you are in New York this winter, stop by the Asia Society to see<a href=\"http:\/\/asiasociety.org\/arts\/asia-society-museum\/current-exhibitions\/sarah-sze-infinite-line\"> Sarah Sze\u2019s kinetic new show \u201cInfinite Line.\u201d<\/a> I\u2019ve always been drawn to Sze\u2019s webbed sculptures, but this time I particularly liked a series of pen-and-ink llustrations, each of which depict twelve seminal (but confidential!) events in the lives of friends and collectors. Each unfurls with Escher-like intricacy\u2014but also pluckiness and whimsy. \u2014<strong>Deirdre Foley-Mendelssohn<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Check out\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Wages_of_Fear\">Henri-Georges Clouzot\u2019s 1953 film, <em>The Wages of Fear<\/em><\/a>, this weekend, either here in New York at the Film Forum or on DVD. It\u2019s kind of like <em>Speed<\/em>, but with no love story and an overlay of existentialism.
