Today they launched <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/1190988555\/plimpton-starring-george-plimpton-as-himself\">a Kickstarter project<\/a> to help them cover the expensive costs of paying for archival footage. Watch the video above to see a short clip of the film, which combines Plimpton\u2019s own narration with interviews from his family and friends such as Peter Matthiessen, Gay Talese, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Mike Milbury, Elaine Kaufman, Robert Silvers, James Lipton, Jay McInerney, and Hugh Hefner.<\/p>\n<p>If you donate <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/1190988555\/plimpton-starring-george-plimpton-as-himself\">$100 or more to the film<\/a>, you\u2019ll receive a <em>Paris Review<\/em> subscription along with a DVD of the film and other goodies.
