Out the west-facing window<br \/>\nI see, flat and small as a playing card,<br \/>\nthe platinum slice of river, and beyond,<br \/>\nthe wiry cliffs of the Palisades. <i>The sun is setting,<br \/>\n<\/i>pronounces Henry Hudson, eternally facing west,<br \/>\nbobbling on the deck of the <i><span lang=\"NL\">Halve Maen<\/span><\/i>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"Body\"><b><span lang=\"FR\">A Collection<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"Body\">A scarlet tin star bursts its compartment<br \/>\nin the display case.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"Body\">One Buddha coexists<br \/>\nwith a brass Egyptian cat.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"Body\">Another is dwarfed by a brass-capped test tube<br \/>\nwhich might be a soul-body metaphor.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"Body\">No collection can keep honest<br \/>\nwithout a pocket watch.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"Body\">How flexibly the several thick white hairs<br \/>\nlean in <i>their<\/i> compartment.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"Body\">From the collector\u2019s head<br \/>\n<span lang=\"PT\">or a cat<\/span>\u2019<span lang=\"DA\">s face? An ivory skull,<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"Body\">an ivory skull, an ivory skull, an ivory skull\u2014<br \/>\nthey\u2019d make nice earrings.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"Body\">A tanned rose, once fresh.<br \/>\nOh, there are <i>two<\/i> pocket watches.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"Body\">A possible third bends its sheen<br \/>\naway from the curious and backs into the
