In <\/em>Pisando no c\u00e9u<em>, a girl stands before a wall of Barbie dolls.<\/em>\u00a0Dalila retocando meus dreads <em>depicts a barbershop run by<\/em><em> police officers, the state holding a literal razor to citizens\u2019 necks. Alexandre\u2019s first show in the United Kingdom, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.davidzwirner.com\/exhibitions\/maxwell-alexandre-pardo-e-papel-close-a-door-to-open-a-window\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pardo \u00e9 Papel: close a door to open a window<\/a>,\u201d will open at David Zwirner\u2019s London gallery on November 12 and remain on view through December 19, 2020.
