M. Dean is a cartoonist and illustrator originally from the west coast of Florida, where she attended Ringling College of Art and Design. She is the inaugural recipient of the Creators for Creators grant, and the creator and cocreator, respectively, of the webcomics <\/em>The Girl Who Flew Away and <\/em>Coming Soon: Regents Walk. She currently lives in Brooklyn with her partner, a dog, and a big black cat.<\/em><\/p>\n
