Writing in <em>n+1<\/em>, Philip Connors <a href=\"http:\/\/nplusonemag.com\/clarification-about-online-print-texts\">credited<\/a> Seidel\u2019s poetry with giving him the courage to quit his job. Wyatt Mason made a passionate <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2009\/04\/12\/magazine\/12Seidel-t.html\">case<\/a> for Seidel\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Poems-1959-2009-Frederick-Seidel\/dp\/0374532192\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1298053620&amp;sr=1-1\"><em>Poems 1959\u20132009<\/em><\/a> in <em>The New York Times Magazine<\/em>\u2014not a publication known for its attention to verse. There&#8217;s been a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newyorker.com\/fiction\/poetry\/2009\/04\/20\/090420po_poem_galassi\">poem<\/a> dedicated to Seidel in <em>The New Yorker<\/em>. The<em> London Review of Books<\/em> has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lrb.co.uk\/v31\/n15\/michael-robbins\/my-heart-on-a-stick\">likened<\/a> him to a YouTube person in a <a href=\"http:\/\/deadspin.com\/#!5205908\">bunny suit<\/a>, while fellow <em>Paris Review<\/em> staffer Dan Chiasson compared Seidel\u2019s effusions to a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nybooks.com\/articles\/archives\/2009\/jul\/16\/the-glee-of-contempt\/\">garden hose<\/a>.
