Churchman envisioned these works as a comment on \u201cwhat\u2019s lost and found in the process of translation\u201d; they borrow from images in print and online, altering and reframing them.\u00a0<\/em><em>\u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.spikeartmagazine.com\/en\/articles\/qa-leidy-churchman\" target=\"_blank\">If I choose an image and use it to make a painting, people already know that image or something like it and have a relationship with it<\/a>,\u201d he wrote in\u00a0<\/em>Spike\u00a0<em>in 2015. \u201cWe can then study the image together.
